A few days ago, South Africa saw the return of ex convicted drug mule, Nolubabalo Nobanda. Upon watching the news on television, as she made her entrance at the airport, it was easily notable that there was excitement around her return from jail in Thailand.

In the year 2011, Babsie - as she is affectionately known - was dealt with a low blow after being caught with 1,2 kg of cocaine neatly entangled in her dreadlocks in Bangkok.

On last night's episode of etv's CheckPoint, viewers tuned in to watch Babsie recount the events from her perspective. However, tweeps were just not entirely sold.

A barrage of comments on Twitter implied that the interview was vague and didn't reveal much. Some even doubted the authenticity of Babsie's story.

Babsie was the number one trending topic on Twitter last night. Some were anticipating a more detailed revelation because there are too many "loopholes" in how she actually got to be sentenced for eight years in Thailand.

Questions like, who were her drug lords? who was supposed to go to Brazil with her? Who changed the initial plan of going to Brazil?... were not answered, of which infuriated the viewers.

Take a look at some of the comments on Twitter:

There was also a lot of confusion around Babsie's ''hero's welcome'' by the airport and community. Which posed the question; Is she regarded as some-kind of a celebrity?
It seems as though, Babsie is ready to leave this dark period and just live her best life. The 31 year old revealed that she obtained a degree in communications science and is planning on putting it into good use.
