If we can only count the number of times our celebrities have been on the receiving end of hate online, we would probably be here the whole day. Most of the time, the reasons can be utterly baseless and we are always left to wonder whether or not Mzansi simply loves to hate them.
We have put together a list of celebrities who have received a lot of hate online.

Mohale Motaung
Let us start with the most obvious of them all. Ever since his nasty separation with his estranged husband Somizi Mhlongo, it seems Mzansi had always been waiting for the perfect time to trash him from here all the way to Timbuktu.
I mean to think that everyone was happy that the two former lovebirds were finally getting their fairytale ending, Mznais went on to drag and bash him online for simply being Somizi’s ex.
It is not clear whether it is because he had accused Somizi for being abusive but clearly, Mzansi has ensured that he will never move on as peacefully as Somgaga has.
Pearl Thusi
Next up on the list is this acclaimed Quantico actress, who always seems to rub Mzansi in the wrong way. As you already know, Pearl is always so opinionated about the things that matter to her more so when it comes to matters of politics and her friends being looked down upon.
On the many occasions when she has taken to her Twitter to speak up against a particular trending issue, Mzansi always seems to find a way to twist her words so they mean something different entirely. But having been in such a toxic place so many times before it is good to see that the media personality has developed a thick skin and never lets anything get to her.

Lasizwe Dambuza
Bet you already saw this name coming huh? Well, with the way Sweerie has been making headlines of late, let us just say that many of his fans think that it is time for him to lay for a while. But has that stopped him, of course not.
Just recently, he angered tweeps when he decided to copy Uncle Waffles’ look by wearing a thong for the whole world to see.
Now we do not know what reaction Sweerie was expecting but it definitely was not what he got. Many still believe that he is a clout chaser and that he will do anything for everyone’s attention. Hectic!

Anele Mdoda
This is yet another radio personality that has had to endure quite a lot of hate online. From being fat shamed to being called names just for being one of Trevor Noah’s best friends, when will this madness stop?
While many believe her to be one of the most celebrated media personalities in Mzansi, it seems that is a sentiment that is only held by her very loyal fans. For the rest of Mzansi, they have simply grown tired of her.
Most of it of course is always because of the way she is always shading her fellow industry mates and always landing herself on the wrong side of Mzansi’s attention.

AKA
AKA has always been one of the most acclaimed rappers and artists here in Mzansi. But ever since the death of his ex fiance Anele Tembe, it seems that he is not such a favourite anymore to the public.
It all started when it was discovered that the two had apparently gotten into an argument before nellie jumped off from their hotel window to her death. Months later, it was again rumoured that AKA was moving on with someone new and this did not sit so well with Mzansi, who believed that he was being too insensitive since Nellie’s death is still a fresh wound to her loved ones.

Cassper Nyovest
Cass is without a doubt one of those Zalebs who is always making headlines for simply just clapping back at a troll or responding to Nota Baloyi’s constant hate. Just the other day the two got into a very heated twar that saw Nota say some pretty hurtful things to Cassper.
And while his fans of course did not delay to show up for him by shutting down Nota, clearly, this incident went to show how much Cass always has to find himself in situations where he needs to defend his honor.
Even after he bought his most coveted McLaren, Mzansi still decided to find fault in his win. Hasn’t he had enough already?

Jub Jub
Last but not least is Jub Jub who, as you already know, got into the most scandalous drama last year. After being accused of having sexually assaulted not one but several women, let’s just say that it does not rain, it pours for Jub Jub.
And yes, he has quite a number of loyal fans but that doesn’t change the fact that he has had to endure quite a lot of backlash on social media. He has been on the down low ever since that ugly situation with Amanda Du Pont but we can only hope that this does not mean that he has fallen off from the industry completely.

As mentioned before, despite all the hate they constantly receive it is good to see that each of them has developed a thick skin and will not let anything bring them down and we love to see it.
