According to Phil Mphela, the actress was spotted chilling with her fans in Durban. In the ‘Spotted’ video shared by Phil, Phindile reportedly took“ young ladies out for lunch after they requested to meet her via social media.”

However, Tweeps are not buying this @SnakohQ said this is all just to save “her reputation after backlash.”
Earlier this month, a social media user by the name of Nompilo Beryl Mkhize accused Phindile Gwala of attacking her outside a nightclub in Pietermaritzburg.

In her lengthy Facebook post, Nompilo said she was standing outside the club ready to go home, she said she was busy with her phone taking videos of herself while waiting for her ride home when Phindile thought she was taking videos of her.

She said Phindile shouted to her friend "there is another one", they then allegedly came to her, took her phone, deleted the videos, and scratched her face.
“She grabbed my phone from my hand, went to my gallery, and deleted the first video she found, her friend kept shouting “awuceli ngani” (why you are not asking) and I was still confused by that when Phindile smashed my phone wayithatha wayiphihliza ngibhekile (she took my phone and smashed while I was watching),” wrote Nompilo Mkhize.

Nompilo also opened a case against Phindile but she got arrested instead for breaking COVID-19 laws.

Few days later Phindile released a lengthy statement explaining that she and Nompilo have sat down and resolved the issue. She said they both withdrew charges against each other.

The now-deleted statement read: "It is with a sense of humility that I express my guidance for the constructive criticism, guidance, and support I have received from the people of this country of all ages. Equally, I express my sincere appreciation to the family and friends of Ms. Nompilo Mkhize.

“Despite the hurt and high emotions that ran higher and ensued after this unfortunate incident, the spirit of Ubuntu has finally prevailed and brought us together. Without dwelling much on legal issues, I do wish to point out that this prevailing spirit of ubuntu has resulted in both of us withdrawing cases that we had opened against each other.”
