Pinky Girl, aka Bonang's cousin, has revealed she quit her IT job after her colleagues discovered her celebrity family connection
Tebogo Mekgwe (her real name), who has been a fixture on hit reality show Being Bonang, is often seen jet-setting around the world, attending all the hottest parties and splashing the cash on shopping sprees with her famous cousin.
Having been thrust into the spotlight, the pink-haired socialite now claims the instant-fame has affected her professional life to such an extent that she's had to quit her IT job of seven years.
Pinky told Move Magazine; “I quit when my colleagues realised I was related to Bonang. Some started acting awkward. Especially, my female colleagues gave me a hard time. Some even called me Bonang’s handbag because I was always with her and they said all I do is hang around her.”
Aah the life of the rich and famous!
But don't expect Moghel to be sitting at home unemployed or sponging off Bonang - she's recently revealed plans to enter the entertainment industry
She's even tried her hand (and failed according to some) at being a V-Entertainment presenter.
A clip of the wannabe-presenter giving it a go went viral with many tweeps calling on her to keep her day job.
Ouch!
Pinky also spoke to The Juice about her other career options, like her own reality show called 'Keeping up with Pinky Girl' (so original!)
"Yes, I’m planning on having my own reality show. People have been asking about it and I’m thinking of doing that as well."
She's also interested in becoming an actress and prominent fashion model and even starting a charity organisation called 'Pinky Girl Foundation' which will focus on female empowerment.
“I am working on building my empire, Pinky Girl, which will be all about empowering females,” she told The Juice.
She's also keen on developing her own beauty range.
She said: “Pinky Girl is a lover of good things, especially self-care. Hence I am doing research on beauty products and finding ways to get the perfect product that will accommodate young and old females.”
Perhaps Bonang can give her tips on how to build a successful business.
