Rami is undoubtedly one of the best actresses in South Africa, she has been in the entertainment industry for more than 2 decades and she keeps getting better with time.
Not only is she a talented actress, she is also a singer and a self published author.
In a recent interview with Anele Mdoda, the bubbly actress opened up about being sexually assaulted as a young girl, "I was raped on two separate occasions by close family friends between thee age of 6 and 8," she said.
Rami said she has only now started talking about the traumatic events after writing her memoir, We Kissed the Sun and Embraced the Moon, some of the things I wrote about were so traumatic that I had to leave the house so I could write, “I had to book into a hotel thats not far from my house when I was writing about that chapter. I didn’t know how I would be emotionally when I went to that place and didn’t want my children to see me in that space. ” She said.
We love how open she is about some of the things she has been through, it is refreshing to see a vocal celebrity that talks about things that affect many South Africans.
