Last night the UK’s Channel 5 TV broadcasted an interview with June Steenkamp, expressing her anger and regret towards Pistorius and not being able to protect her daughter from Oscar.  In the interview June mentioned how Reeva and Oscar engaged in many heated arguments during their four month relationship.

During an interview on CNN Reeva’s Uncle Mike informed the news network that in one incident Reeva had called her mother (June) in a panic explaining that she was traveling in a car with Oscar who was driving recklessly.

Mike said that June demanded to speak to Oscar, warning him that if he hurt her baby he was to be “wiped out.”

In the interview with Channel 5 TV June also revealed about a personal phone call she had with her daughter, exposing the troublesome relationship she had with the Olympic hero.

“A week or so later she phoned me, we chatted about this and that, little girl things I said:  ‘How is it going with Oscar? She said, ‘We’ve been fighting, we’ve been fighting a lot.”

Pistorius maintains that the murder was a mistake in which he mistook Steenkamp for an intruder.  If Pistorius is found guilty for premeditated murdered he could be sentence to life in prison,

The Steenkamp family was asked if they would watch today’s court proceedings, Mike Steenkamp said that they would not watch but insisted that today will bring whatever it will bring.

Early on today it was announced that Pistorius trial had been postponed for the 19th of August, Oscar was seen kissing his family as they left the magistrate court into a flock of journalists waiting for them outside.

Peet Van Zyl, Pistorius’s manager told the German weekly (Der Spiegel) that the athlete suffers from serious psychological problems.  “Oscar sleeps poorly.  He eats poorly.  There are days when he’s okay but other days it’s terrible,” Van Zyl said, adding that Pistorious “sees a psychologist two or three times a week.”
