Songstress Rethabile Khumalo was involved in a car accident 2 years ago, but she is finally ready to speak about it. They say music heals, so the songstress saw it fitting to tell that story just when she is about to release new music.
Her mother Winnie Khumalo was the one who made this horrific revelation that her daughter was involved in a car accident. Taking to Twitter, Winnie Khumalo shared the news and said her daughter was badly injured.
"Hi friends. I would like to inform you that @Rethabile_rsa was in a car accident and she is badly hurt. Your prayers will be highly appreciated," she tweeted.
Finding courage to share the details of her accident, Rethabile shared a Tiktok with the state of the vehicle she was in. She then showed her injured face and road to recovery.
She captioned the video, “Don’t be hard on yourself, rather give yourself the chance to heal and have hopes again! Your failures do not define you because you are bigger than them. Trust your abilities and let the hope bloom inside. You will do better in the future! FULL STORY DROPPING TOMORROW AND NEW SONG DROPPING ON THE 28th October.”
Her mother Winnie shared the same video with the same caption.
Opening up on the accident she told Daily Sun that she was soaked in blood. The time this happened she said that she was recording new music.
"For a while I couldn’t move. As I lay there on the road, I kept praying, asking God to spare my life. I wasn’t ready to die. I was then rushed to hospital. Fortunately, none of my bones were broken. I had a blood clot in my right thigh, a few scratches on my face and a scar on my head.
"I still have a minor swelling on my thigh, but it’s going down. From what I understand, the car that hit me was beyond repair. I’ve seen pictures and it’s clear the accident was very bad. I don’t know how I survived. I know one of the victims is still in hospital," she told the publication.
A year and a few months later, Rethabile got engaged. "...Today actually turned out to be one of the best days of my life because I said yes. I got engaged today. Oh my God, I am so happy," said Rethabile in the video.
Her mother, her biggest supporter, congratulated her child on this massive achievement. "Congratulations my nunus on your engagement."

"Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers," his management tweeted.
