Every time a local artist is announced as an opening act for an international artist or band, we cannot help but break into a song and maybe even a twerk, In light of the great news. Especially if the international band is one of the most commercially successful Canadian groups in the history of music.
Earlier this monrning Big Concerts was pleased to announce that local rising star, Shaun Jacobs, will be the opening act for Rock Superstars, Nickelback who will be coming to South Africa for two Johannesburg shows on Friday the 6th of December 2013 and Sunday the 8th December 2013.
The band is set to perform at the Coca-Cola dome as well as playing two Cape Town shows at the Grand Arena, GrandWest on Wednesday 11th December 2013 and Thursday 12th December 2013.
The multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and record producer Shaun Jacobs is well known for his sentimental and anthemic folk-rock. Shaun’s single “Love Can” from his album of the same name topped the charts on South African radio stations and stayed at number one on the local iTunes charts for 12 weeks. With such an extensive musical archive it's a no-brainer why he was chosen as the opening act.
