Controversial music exec Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi has penned down a scathing open letter to Idols SA judge Somizi Mhlongo in which he slammed the general public for continuing to support him despite being a “sex offender.”

In the lengthy letter, Nota compares Somgaga to R Kelly and Dave Chappelle who have been cancelled by social media. He also drags Idols SA for reinstating him as a judge following the alleged physical abuse allegations levelled against by his estranged husband Mohale Motaung.

"Fortunately this time around, the contestants will be auditioning online so there's no threat that they will come face to face with a convicted sex offender with predatory tendencies unless they make it to the golden ticket stage or should it be the golden shower stage ala-R Kelly."

Nota claims Somizi has not been cancelled because he is part of the LGBTQI Community. "Accountability culture has been slow moving in from the LGBTQ community with the same swiftness they pounce on black men who have committed cancellable offences."

The music exec continued to list Sol Phenduka who is one of the hosts of Podcast and Chill with Mac G who was labelled transphobic following remarks he made in one of  the podcasts. He claims the show lost millions in revenue advertising but  Somizi was only given a break from Idols to deal with the allegations.

"Somizi on the other hand was forced to take a break from judging the previous season of Idols SA after his estranged husband Mohale Motaung ,ade allegations that he had been a victim of abuse and attempted murder, after being driven off the road following an argument that the lovers had that took  a turn for the worst

.
Nota's fiery open letter has sparked reactions on Twitter with some dragging him for his grammatical mistakes.

@krugersville commented "Bathong why didn’t Nota just say “I’m at angry at the slow cancellation movement the LGBT community receives where never they are at fault but when it comes to people like Dave chapelle , they move to quick and movement is fast asf”

@gwexe_bongani commented: "Just read the comments if you want to know why we have so much GBV in SA. Sexual predators are focusing on grammar, not facts of the Nota letter."

@Tee_Ner commented: "It’s a bitter pill for me to swallow, but I agree with Nota. Somizi is a convicted sex offender. He goes around harassing men, and we laugh about it. He made a rapey comment to MacG that he was waiting for him to get older. But society still stands by him."

@ArtyBotoman "He is making a point about the alphabet gang not being cancelled so quick as straight back men do when facing allegations of GBV, sexual abuse etc. They always get second chances and back up."
