This follows his comment about Thapelo's performance who performed Lloyiso's song last night on Idols SA. Tweeps were enraged by Somizi's comments after Thapelo sang Seasons by Lloyiso and he said he sang it better than the owner.

In response to Somizi's commentary, many took to the microblogging platform to express their anger. "That wasn’t Thapelo’s great performance. He really tried. There was some effort. And Somizi must not lie unnecessarily. No one touché Loyiso. Loyiso remain unmatched with that song. #IdolsSA," wrote a tweep.

Another one echoed "Really t'was an insult to Loyiso. Somizi exposed himself with that statement-judges are expected to KNOW the original songs prior going on stage to Judge nonsense. Choreographers are expected to give 'em week's song list to familiarise themselves; be given a whole week to do that."

They said next week he should issue an apology to Lloyiso.
Thapelo has expressed his gratitude to his fans for voting for him to be in the top 4. Taking to Facebook he wrote "Thank you family for putting me to top 4. May God bless each one for you for all efforts of votes indeed am humbled and grateful," he wrote.

Thapelo who is a psychologist at the SAPS, has received enormous support from the South African Police Services since he entered the singing competition.

"He has a great passion for music, which is the driving force behind his participation in the 2022 Idols SA Competition, a talent search competition with the aim to realize and help build the talents of individuals.

He attributes his success to the immense support he is receiving from his colleagues and family, dedication to music, his humility and being focused. He also urged other potential contestants to follow their dreams, unleash their potential and make their mark in the world. The SAPS wishes Thapelo best of luck on his Idols SA journey," wrote the SAPS on Facebook.
