sOMIZI AND BONANG

Somizi "SomGaga" Mhlongo is the type to tell the truth and shame the devil, and it appears Bonang is the devil in this sour relationship.

The besties-turned-frenemies were once SA's coolest BFFs. They were pictured at events together, taking Instagram-worthy selfies at posh locations, and occasionally colour coordinating their outfits.

Then, out of the blue, the besties were no more.

Earlier this month, Somizi revealed that their friendship ended abruptly after he was accused of telling DJ Zinhle about Bonang's affair with AKA - something he denies.

“At this stage I hadn’t seen Bonang for like four months, we’d been friends for over five years and in my head, we were BFFs. And then one morning I wake up and she’s not talking to me and I then hear from people that she unfollowed me on Twitter and on Instagram, hawu. The last time I had spoken to this person she was in Mauritius the night before telling me how much she misses me and then the next thing dololo," he explained on his reality show, after bumping into Bonang on the SAFTAs red carpet.

Fast forward to Monday when season four of Vuzu's 10 over 10 hit our screens.

The topic for the first episode? Celebrity beefs!

He explained why Bonang turned her back on five years of friendship. Only this time, he apparently revealed the name of the person who allegedly told tall tales about him.

Bonang featured in four of the 10 beefs, with the drama between her and Pearl Thusi making it to number one.

So why is Bonang the centre of all these beefs? Somizi got people thinking.

“Is it because people are jealous of you or is it that you are the problem? Judge for yourself South Africa, you are smart,” Somizi was quoted as saying on the show, according to Drum magazine.

Though, it must be noted, that most of Bonang's beefs are one-sided - as in she hardly ever responds.

Despite it looking like these former besties will never get back together, Somizi and Bonang fans are still holding out hope that the pair will rekindle their friendship.

Anything is possible in the land of "Celebville".
