Mamelodi Sundown midfielder Teko Modise's girlfriend, Lizelle Tabane, has quit her job amidst rumours he ordered her to resign so he can keep a closer eye on her.
According to the Sunday Sun, Modise has become suspicious of his model girlfriend, who reportedly had to choose between him and her high-profile job after being giving an ultimatum.
The publication received confirmation from a senior manager at Alexander Forbes that Tabane has quit her job and isn't employed at the Sandton company any longer.
"At least now he knows she's at home and won't have time to do suspicious things," said a friend of the couple.
But insiders say Tabane is unsatisfied in her new life as dutiful housewife, and that the engaged couple won't be getting married anytime soon. Modise recently paid R20 000 lobola for the model, but later demanded it back from her family because he reportedly caught wind of rumours that she was having an affair.
"They are still working on their issues, but Lizelle is not happy about her situation. She is bored and doesn't like the idea of living a programmed life, like Gym, cooking and cleaning," said a source.
