As we grow up, expectations are piled up on us by our surroundings, our friends and most importantly our family.
One of the biggest expectations that we’re all bound to face one day or the next is the one of settling down. The Queen’s Thandy Matlaila knows all about this expectation. As she’s edging closer to the big 3-0 her family’s been hounding her about finding Mr. Right. Her family has even gone as far as holding prayer sessions for her to get a man, but she’s not buckling anytime soon.
Speaking to Move! she said “There’s pressure to achieve certain things. Everyone is making a big deal out of me turning 30, but I feel that it is just a year added to my life.” She also added that she still wants children but not out of wedlock. Her biggest challenge would have to be finding a man who can handle her independence.
