South African musician, AKA, has set off on a tirade once again and this time he is bashing his industry peers. The rapper, who is about to drop his Bhovamania merch appeared to be touched when fans noticed that his ex-girlfriend, Bonang Matheba, was supporting his arch-nemesis, Cassper Nyovest’s upcoming Any Minute Now merch drop.

Following an Instagram story shared by Bonang which showed her receiving a package from Cassper’s Family Tree store, Tweeps began questioning why none of his celebrity friend have advocated for his upcoming merch drop. AKA stated, “I don’t need the support of celebrities to be successful in ANYTHING I do ... they don’t buy shit, you do.”

He went on to reveal that he does not hang with any celebrities in his free time and does not look for them to promote his stuff as his work speaks for its self. “I don’t hang out in their cliques ... I don’t go to their houses, attend their lil parties & dinners because when it comes to “celebrity” culture in this country, I am the alpha and the O-MEGA.”

He assured fans that the only approval or promotion he needs comes from his Megacy, and that will not be changing any time soon. “YOU ARE ALL I NEED. I AM THE ANTI CELEBRITY CELEBRITY.”

Whilst AKA didn’t directly speak about Cassper or Bonang, many questioned him on why he chooses to respond to the drama and subtweet about his enemies all the time. His fans that he asked on focus on his personal merch drop and not worry about anything else.

AKA confirmed that he will be dropping his merch this October, and will cater for both men and women. He has advised fans to sign up to the mailing list so that they are first to know when the collection drops. The rapper has previewed the pieces in the last few weeks and has even used his girlfriend, Nelli Tembe, as one of his models.
