Tweeps were left begging for more of Zakes Bantwini's performance on the #LockdownHouseParty. Yesterday, Mzansi braved the cold until midnight, to watch the much-anticipated #LockdownHouseParty hosted by Channnel 0, in association with Hunters.
The party hosted after the success of DJ Shimza and PH's Quarantine Online Party, which set the bar high last week. The channel decided to appoint the duo to keep Mzansi on their toes and jamming indoors, whilst on lockdown.
DStv head of PR and publicity Philly Kubheka said: “We are continuously looking at fresh ways to entertain our audiences during these difficult times, and this is just another way we hope to assist our customers to get through it all.”
Last night the star-studded lineup included artists like DJ Tira, Dj Fresh and PH. Zakes captured the hearts of many with his performance, the musician rocked the stage and his fans, could not stop heaping praises on his bursting energy.
He definitely, livened up the stage with his lit performance, but tweeps were not impressed with Tira's performance. Some Durbanites even went as far as apologising on behalf of him. We don't know what happened, but Malum'Bearings failed to bring his A-game to the turntables yesterday, and tweeps said he should have been not booked.
That's bad hey! Imagine bringing the vibe down when the likes of Zakes came out guns blazing to shut the place down.
