2010 Idols winner, Elvis Blue and his wife Chireze welcomed their second daughter into the world this morning. Both mum and baby are doing well. Blue and Chireze have decided to name their little girl Jua Hoogendak.
The South African star says they are very excited with the new addition to the family.
"My wife is doing really well. As a husband, you just think that you are very proud of your wife because I don't think I would be able to do something like that," he says.
"It's an indescribable feeling! [I feel] great joy, serious nervousness and tremendous excitement."
Elvis Blue is known to draw inspiration from lived experiences and use it to influence his songwriting. Jua's arrival is no different.
"We all have those relationships and they play such a massive part in our lives. So it's definitely something you draw a lot of inspiration from whether things go good or things go wrong. It has a big impact on our lives," he says.
The couple have previously had difficulty conceiving a child. Elvis Blue talks about the conception of both his daughters.
"I think that there is probably a big misconception- lots of people struggle to conceive, but you always feel quite embarrassed about it you know?
"So with this, it was no different. We had a few things happen before we had this little girl and our previous little girl and it's really rough to deal with," he says.
"Fortunately, we have some great friends and support," he adds.
