And just like that, the new year is already in full swing! What better excuse can there be for a little wardrobe revamp?

Celebrities (well, some) are known for their stylish and trendy wardrobe. We've been watching their latest looks and have a few trends you can also add to your closet that will help you look your best.

DJ Zinhle

The continent's biggest female DJ is taking style cues from the iconic Cher Horowitz from Clueless. Everything eventually comes back in style and rainbow plaids are back to have a moment.

If you’re not a fan of rainbow bright outfits, there are more subtle ways to incorporate more color into your wardrobe. Find a plaid that uses colours that are already in our wardrobe, that makes it easier to ease it into your look, like how DJ Zinhle did it here with her yellow T-shit and pumps.

Nomuzi Mabena

Sometimes beauty lies in simple looks like a timeless power suit. It's everything any woman who's serious about her bag needs to communicate without ever saying a thing! The great thing about a suit is the easiness of styling. You can buy plain coloured design and wear it with your favourite bags and accessories. You don't have to worry about your look, as this outfit can be worn from work to church and even special parties.

It's also easy to add some pizzazz to your look by incorporating some bold prints. Nomuzi opted for an all over snake print one random day and blew us away!

Blue Mbombo

Leopard prints have been dominating the fashion world on and off for many years. Wild leopard prints are the best option to show off your trendsetting style all year round for women of every age. But you have to keep things in control, otherwise you would end up looking like a crazy reality show villain.

As a general rule of thumb, it's a good idea to steer clear of skin-tight numbers and stick to loose-fitting pieces with feminine details and relaxed lines, like this pretty little frock seen on Blue.

Amanda du-Pont

Tracksuits are no longer just for rappers, athletes or running weekend errands. Thanks to stylish celebs around the world, the tracksuit is now considered totally appropriate for all kinds of occasions, including fancier events and soirees, depending on how you dress it up.

Needless to say, this is clearly becoming the new "it" athleisure fad to get on board with. Interested in trying it for yourself? There's just one trick to it: monocrome. Match everything! Bonus points if the colour is another aesthetic in itself like Amanda du-Pont in a cozy millennial pink combo.
