South African Idols has given birth to many stars in the entertainment industry with most of its top contestants choosing music as their focal point while a few ambitious others like Sihle Ndaba chose to branch off into an acting career.
The actress, singer and voiceover artist was introduced to many on the reality competition show where she was in the Top 18 leg of the competition before elimination.

Although her musical journey on the competition didn’t last long, Sihle quickly found her foot in telenovelas and drama including Inkaba and Room 9 before bagging her most popular role as Smangele Maphumulo on SABC 1 soapie Uzalo.
With that opportunity, Sihle was soon to become a series regular as she was featured in 4 seasons of the soapie before her contract was terminated last year.
However, getting fired is no new thing in acting hence the actress did not let that deter her determination to move forward with a new role on The Herd.
The actress also believes in no boundaries to success which saw her win a Sabela Award for Best Supporting Actress at the Durban International Film Festival for her role on Uzalo and with her firm qualities, she believes Mzansi has not seen everything she has to offer.

With hopes of many awards in the near future, Sihle may be a great actress but she always stays loyal to her musical roots as she recently joined the cast of King Kong-The Musical, a timeless masterpiece which legends like Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and mam’Letta Mbulu also featured in.
Born Siphesihle Ndaba in Mpumalanga, the actress who studied Musical Theatre at Tshwane University of Technology has high hopes of starring in theatre works like The Color Purple, Dreamgirls as well as the Lion King.
This proves that when it comes to singing and performances, Sihle Ndaba is recognised and when it comes to acting, we cannot leave the star behind either, she has managed to thrive in all mediums.
