According to blogger and entertainment commentator Phil Mphela, the actor is set to star in a show likely to be called The Wife. According to Mphela's moles, the show is currently in production and it is produced by Durban-based production company Stained Glass, which produces numerous shows such as Uzalo and eHostela.
It is not clear whether the actor has left Scandal permanently or he will juggle both his roles. The show will also star Muvhango actress, Liteboho Molise. The actress who plays the role of Tebogo Mukhwevo in the SABC 2 drama, has apparently leaving Muvhango to join the new show.
Another actor who recently left Scandal is Hungani Ndlovu, who played the role of Romeo. A Sunday tabloid had previously published an article that he was apparently fired but the show debunked the rumors.
Disputing the claims, Scandal tweeted, "There’s a published article circulating around that Hungani is leaving the show. As #etvScandal, we’re disputing every allegation stated in the article. Hungani has not been fired by production. We’re happy with his excellent professionalism and work ethic."
Actress, Cindy Mahlangu who played the role of Violetta Mamba also left the show. The actress tweeted: “Violetta Mamba…It’s been good” two days ago.
Stained Glass has been taking the industry with the introduction of new shows.
The production recently received a warning from the SABC to change Uzalo's boring storyline. To shake things off on the show, Kaya Dladla who was everyone's favourite, told Daily Sun that they are returning on set with TK Dlamini, Nay Maps, as well as Nokuthula Mabika.
“I’m not sure when I’m going to appear on TV, but we have agreed to come back to Uzalo. I’m preparing to be on set soon,” Khaya told Daily Sun.
A mole said they had to bring them back to spice things up after losing some famous actors. “The production team is busy with many changes on the soapie,” said the source. “It was going to be difficult to continue with the show without adding some spice after they lost the top actors.
“It was wise to bring back familiar faces than bring new ones,”
