Jeremy Maggs to host a talk show on Power FM

The previous SAFM moderator starts his two-hour media talk show – Power Week from 10am-12pm on Sunday. The talk show fashions itself as a strong stage for dialogue with audience members on issues of news media, advertising, creative, online trends and other media advancement.

The station keeps on punching over its weight to turn into an energy to figure with in the broadcasting sector, and recently launched a studio at the JSE.

Power FM executive Given Mkhari has respected the previous Who Wants To Be A Millionaire host. 

"Pulling in Maggs to the station is part of the station's procedure to “facilitate authentic discussions through credible voices”, Mkhari said.

Maggs brings his abundance of news-casting knowledge to the Johannesburg-based radio station. He began his profession in print, then advancing to radio and TV in a career spreading over more than 30 years.

The station has additionally presented new talk show called "Power Newsroom" as an approach to listeners to the behind-the-scenes news gathering processes. The show is facilitated by the station's head of news, Denzil Taylor. The one-hour talk program goes before Power Week and runs from 9am-10am.

Mkhari said: “Power Week and Power Newsroom are new offerings in the lives of our listeners and should go a long way in meeting their request for some talk services over the weekend.”

Maggs said he was anticipating joining the station and the arrangement permitted him to additionally “participate in this media revolution and assist the station as it cements its place as the leading talk station in our country”.
