South African politician, activist, Member of Parliament and the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), Julius Malema turns 40 today.
As the erstwhile President of the African National Congress Youth League Julius Malema turns 40 today, let’s see what he has been up to in 2020.
Julius Malema makes news, oops knees!
South African media personality Somizi Mhlongo and his husband Mohale Motaung were busy enjoying a much-deserved break in Mpumalanga a few months ago.
Somizi posted a series of pictures during their safari get-away in the province. Tweeps scrutinized his knee and pointed out something bizarre on it - Somizi's knee had what looks like it has a face with a beret on it!
According to Tweeps the face looks like that of President of EFF, Julius Malema. Several memes and some hilarious reactions have been making the rounds.
Julius Malema’s Women's Day address controversy
The outspoken poet, Ntsiki Mazwai, brought to attention the issues she has over, Commander-In-Chief of EFF, Julius Malema’s keynote address on National Women’s Day.
She questioned as to why a man who purportedly stated that women enjoy being raped was tasked with addressing women on National Women’s Day. Ntsiki not only dragged Julius Malema, but the most senior female executive members of the party, Leigh Mathys and Naledi Chiriwa as well.
Malema was convicted of hate speech in March 2010 and again in September 2011.
A peek into Julius Malema’s fun side
At the peak of the Coronavirus global pandemic, Julius Malema posted a video of him carrying his youngest son on his back.
As a militant politician, it was quite fascinating to watch Julius Malema attending to his duties as a father to his youngest son.
The video also encouraged fellow South Africans to quarantine at their homes.
Julius Malema meets Former President Jacob Zuma
Recently Julius Malema requested former President Jacob Zuma on Twitter asking him for time to chat over tea. Speculation is rife that Malema will try and convince Zuma to appear at the State Capture Commission after Zuma said he would not cooperate with the Inquiry.
EFF’s Julius Malema arrived in Nkandla in a helicopter and had a good discussion over tea.
Seen in the photographs is the CIC of EFF, Julius Malema at the Former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma’s Homestead in Nkandla, having tea.
