Last night marked an extraordinary occasion for South African artists as the South African Music Awards (SAMAs) announced the nominations for this year's awards ceremony.
For over 25 years, the SAMAs has honoured the excellence that exists amongst our South African musicians and last night was no different as the hard work of our artists were recognised in the form of the nominations announcement.
Many of the artists in attendance were very proud of bagging a nomination, but no one was as proud as Lerato Sengadi.
Lerato expressed great pride after it was announced that her late husband, HHP had bagged a nomination for the Best Hip Hop Album category.

Lerato could not hold back her excitement and showered her late husband with words of praise for this monumental moment.
"We are nominated for Best Hip Hop Award at #SAMA25 Oh God! Oh dear Lord! Oh Motho waka!!! I told you! You see, I’m keeping my promise! JABBA FOREVER!! The legacy continues!! Ameni! I'm so proud of you motho waka! So, so, so proud! You did it! You! The Goat! The King!" she said.
Although going through life without HHP has proven to be difficult for Lerato, she is determined to keep his spirit alive at all cost and this nomination is just the beginning of many things about Jabba she plans on celebrating.
Here are some of your favourite artists who have been nominated for the SAMAs which are set to take place at the Sun City resort on 31 May & 1 June 2019.
