Everyone’s favourite mediator Luyanda Potwana took some time off television following his successful reality television show that helps couples solve their hard-hitting issues and come out clean with dishonesty and infidelities Nyan Nyan. He was focusing on the spiritual journey that saw him become a traditional healer. But that’s not the only thing he has been doing, he’s also been focusing on going back to school.
The TV presenter Luyanda Potwana is also moving to the United Kingdom to further his studies. He first made this announcement about this big achievement late last year. The Nyan Nyan host revealed to his followers that he had gotten accepted at the University of London, in the United Kingdom to study for a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (BSc in Psychology) program. Today, he took to Instagram sharing with followers how thrilled and excited he is about this country move. He also added that he will miss the city of gold that helped made him the person he is today.
Luyanda wrote in his Instagram stories, “Saying I don’t miss Johannesburg would be a big fat lie. Cape Town is beautiful and great, though temporary, (and London is even greater) Nut I’ll always be a Joburg guy at heart. That 16 years just ain't easy.” He added that he is permanently moving to London very soon, and will be living a humble life outside of the cameras.
The 39-year-old future psychologist will pursue his dream at the prestigious university, which according to him is ranked in the top 20 for the best universities worldwide. Luyanda shared a screenshot of the acceptance letter on Instagram, telling his fans the exciting news last year and now we are all seeing his dreams come to fruition.
"Finally!! I’ve been accepted!!!" Luyanda wrote on Instagram in an excited tone. "I’m now a student for the Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology (BSc in Psychology) at University of London, United Kingdom," he continued.
It has been 20 years since Luyanda set foot in a classroom, and that was when he was in matric. Never attending tertiary, he said this school is the first-ever, and this serves as proof that your dreams are possible too.
"This is literally my first time ever at a tertiary, since competing for my matric 20 years ago — and it had to be at the age of 39, at the University of London — one of the top 20 highest-ranking Universities globally…If there’s a man to pray — then there’s a God to answer!"
The end goal for Luyanda is for him to achieve a Clinical Psychologist (MPhil) & NeuroPsychologist (PhD) — qualification.
A few months back, Luyanda announced that he is officially a traditional healer. "You know me as a South African television host. However, this is a side of me that is unknown to the public. My ancestral spiritual calling. After all, I am my ancestors - and my ancestors are me! I kept this away from social media, not because I was ashamed of it - I just wanted to walk the journey quietly. However, it is now time to reintroduce myself. Chosi Camagu!" wrote the presenter on his Facebook profile.
