Internationally recognized South African musical duo Major League DJz which is made up of twin brothers Banele and Bandile Mbere have been enjoying their peaking musical career and are at the epicenter of the gentrification of the fresh Amapiano sound globally. The duo is in the studio in London mastering their upcoming album which promises to see international stars such as Stefflon Don, Wizkid, Ty Dollar Sign, and a few more as features.
The Major League DJz are pushing piano globally and are always touring gigs that are taking them from Johannesburg to Miami, New York, Los Angeles, and London all in a week's time. They have been selling out shows in the UK, the US, and in other parts of the world other than Africa and they are currently signed to a major recording company Atlantic Records which also houses big musicians such as Burna Boy, Ed Sheeran, and Cardi B among many, proving that there is no going back for the twins.The DJs have just finished a leg of big gigs from Coachella, Soho Desert House in Los Angeles, Parerell in Amsterdam, and selling out the Brixton O2 in London for their upcoming show on the 14th of May which promises to be a huge success and with a few surprises for Amapiano fans in the UK.
The Bakwa Lah hitmakers have a total of 5 albums and one extended play which are all successful and their upcoming album promises to surpass those standards as they have been gentrifying the Piano sounds making it appeal to their global audience instead of South Africa alone. They have not shared the name of their upcoming album yet nor any possible release dates but fans remain excited nonetheless.
Thanks to Social Media fans have been able to keep up with the starsโ schedules and gig guides since they are barely ever in one city for more than a month. The Major League DJz have, since the beginning of the year, been sharing images on social media at the studio with some of the best in the music business globally. They have teased the album and possible features with the likes of Dr. Pepper, Wizkid, US producer to the stars, Metrobooming, to Sir Trill.
Yesterday, the duo finally confirmed that the album is indeed in the works and is almost ready. They shared on both Instagram and Twitter a series of fun images from their London studio where they were hanging out with Jamaican rapper Stefflon Don seemingly cooking up a storm. The captions read, โAlbum loadingโฆ with the baddest Stefflon Don. Pushinโ Piano.โ
Fans on Twitter began engaging and replying to the tweet in excitement. Many said that they have been waiting for a full body of work from the DJ duo and cannot wait to hear their new sound. Other fans and followers of Major League DJz were more intrigued by Stefflon Don, asking about her and wanting to follow her.
The DJs recently trended after sharing a reel on Instagram dancing outside the huge o2 in Brixton where they are set to host the biggest Amapiano festival titled Pianochella in the UK on May 14th, 2022.
