Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reports that Papa Penny's mother has passed away. Details surrounding her death are still sketchy, and it is unclear when she passed away.

Kokwane starred in the Mzansi Magic's top reality show Papa Penny Ahee, and she was known for her straightforward personality. She captivated audiences with her authenticity and love for her family, especially her son Papa Penny.

Phil reported recently that the show has been renewed for its fifth season, which will air in 2022. Sadly, Kokwane cannot be part of the second season as she has passed away.

Mzansi is saddened by her untimely passing, and Tweeps have extended their heartfelt condolences to her family, relatives, and friends.
This is not the first tragedy to struck the family recently. In 2019 Papa Penny lost his stepson Nicholas who apparently committed suicide. Speaking to Sowetan Papa Penny said he disappeared for a couple of days and they found a letter that he was going to kill himself at Soshanguve train station.

"He woke up in the morning and he was very good. So around 3pm after taking a bath he just told the grandfather that he’s coming back [after going out],” Penny said.

“At around 10pm, we received a call that he had not returned home. We tried calling him but his phone went onto voicemail. We tried calling his friends and they didn’t know where he was. That’s when we started to suspect something was wrong.“

“I don’t know what his problem was. He used to tell his mother sometimes that ‘I’m going to kill myself’. During the day on Thursday, he sent his mother a picture with the peace sign. The mother didn’t think much of it.”

Pap Penny has won the hearts of millions of people across the country. Penny Penny's multifaceted personality always keeps viewers entertained from beginning to end of every episode.

In 2019 he topped the Twitter trends list after he was accused of being stingy. This follows after he booked a business class flight for himself and booked an economy class flight for his family. This angered Twitter users who labelled him 'toxic' and he was infuriated by the allegations. Speaking to TshisaLIVE he said he is not rich and those who were concerned about this should give him money.

“You can’t make everyone happy. My reality show is not a drama, it is my reality. I won’t hide anything. I am not rich. I am not a Motsepe. I will never be famous because I am rich. I welcome anyone who is criticising me to give me money to ‘look after my wife and kids’.

May her soul continue to rest in peace.
