After the recent party primary exercise, Hon. Tunde Delu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Ogun State governor on youth and sport, said voters in Abeokuta South Local Government Ward 13 have rallied behind Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Speaking on the atmosphere in the ward and across Ogun State, Delu said the process was calm and orderly, adding that residents were confirming what he described as the party’s consensus choice for the next gubernatorial contest. He stated that the endorsement covers Senator Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi), presenting it as the collective decision of the party’s stakeholders for 2027.
Delu said the backing was rooted in confidence in the senator’s leadership and in his ability to deliver wider development across the state. He argued that the decision reflects trust that the senator can advance Ogun State’s development agenda beyond the senatorial level.
He further said the ward’s support is tied to what he described as Yayi’s “vision” for Ogun State and his push for a more prosperous future for residents. Delu pointed to the senator’s period as representative for Ogun West, saying his actions had produced positive outcomes and that developmental efforts have, in his view, spread throughout the state.
The youth and sport aide also said Ward 13 remains aligned with the senator’s ambitions, characterising the support as unanimous. In his remarks, he reiterated that the ward is fully committed to the plan to move Ogun State “to the next level,” describing the endorsement as comprehensive.
Delu concluded by stressing that Abeokuta South Ward 13 is “100 percent” behind Senator Olamilekan Yayi, presenting the primary exercise and subsequent statements as evidence of unity within the party’s local structure.
