Movement leaders Mr Wasiu Folarin and Toyin Kilaso said their decision was driven by confidence in Tella and by the need to back programmes that advance learning and local development.
They described education as a central tool for changing society. Supplying books to pupils and students, they said, can reduce pressure on parents’ household finances and help promote stronger academic performance.
“Our backing for Hon. Babatunde Tella reflects our trust in his leadership and dedication to the people,” the leaders said. “We support leaders who recognise the needs of their communities, and we are resolved to play our part in his continued success.”
Tella, who received the materials, thanked the Dundun Legacy Movement for what he called a demonstration of solidarity and trust in his political ambition.
He said the support had strengthened his determination to give priority to education, youth development and representation focused on the public’s needs.
“I deeply thank the Dundun Legacy Movement for this considerate support,” Tella said. “It goes beyond a donation; it shows a common commitment to education and to our children’s future. I will keep working to earn this trust through effective representation and initiatives that make a difference.”
The lawmaker also told supporters that he would remain focused on programmes intended to improve the wellbeing of constituents and expand opportunities for young people.
