A political mobilisation effort backed by Hon. Moshood Adetayo Abubakar—widely known as Daytayo—will hold a major rally in Odogbolu, as the APC seeks to strengthen grassroots support ahead of upcoming elections. Daytayo, who serves as Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor and previously pursued the House of Assembly seat for the Odogbolu State Constituency, said the gathering is intended to energise party structures and broaden engagement across the local government area.
Plans for the Odogbolu rally
- Daytayo said the rally forms part of wider efforts to mobilise grassroots backing for the APC and its candidates ahead of the elections.
- He described the event as a “mega rally” scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2026, to take place at the Odogbolu Motor Park/Garage.
- He said organisers expect participation from party faithful and supporters, as well as community leaders, youths, women groups and other stakeholders drawn from across Odogbolu local government area.
Purpose and message of the event
Speaking to journalists about the programme, Daytayo said the rally will showcase the breadth of support for President Tinubu, Senator Adeola, Hon. Lukman Adeleye and other APC candidates in Ogun State. He added that the gathering will also give supporters a chance to reaffirm their commitment to the progressive ideals associated with the APC, while highlighting the achievements and leadership qualities of the candidates.
Daytayo pointed to the Tinubu administration’s policies as part of ongoing efforts to reposition the country. He also said Senator Adeola has built a reputation through constituency-focused initiatives, empowerment programmes and development projects carried out across Ogun State.
In addition, he described Hon. Lukman Adeleye as a committed representative who remains available to constituents and has continued to advocate for the interests of residents of the Odogbolu State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly. Daytayo said he is confident that a large turnout will send a clear signal that APC supporters in Odogbolu are prepared to work for the party’s success and that of its candidates.
Entertainment and call for participation
To build excitement around the rally, Daytayo said the programme will feature entertainment from popular Fuji musician Sule Alao Malaika, along with additional attractions planned by the organisers.
He urged APC members, supporters and residents in Odogbolu and nearby communities to turn out in large numbers, describing the event as a historic gathering in support of the party’s candidates.
