Africa’s top spots reshuffle

Heading into the World Cup, Nigeria were positioned as the third-best team in Africa, trailing Morocco’s “Atlas Lions” and Senegal’s “Teranga Lions.”

Now, Egypt—listed 24th globally—has moved into third place on the continent, while Nigeria has slipped to fourth in Africa.
