Group in Abeokuta Urges Voters to Back Tinubu and State Leaders Ahead of 2027

A political group led by its founder, Ambassador Ayomikun Azeez Ibrahim, urged voters on Friday in Abeokuta to rally behind what it described as a strategic course for sustaining development across both the federal and state levels. The group presented its plan as a way to maintain momentum on national reforms while also driving progress within Ogun State.

Ibrahim said the group’s backing for the three named figures is rooted in their past performance, leadership ability, and demonstrated commitment to governance.

He further argued that President Bola Tinubu should seek a second term, saying an additional tenure would allow the administration to strengthen ongoing reform efforts and continue development programmes across the country.

“President Bola Tinubu should be supported for re-election because his government is building a solid platform for economic recovery, national stability and lasting growth,” Ibrahim said.

Turning to Ogun State politics ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Zee 1 for Yayi founder urged residents to support Senator Olamilekan Adeola—widely known as Yayi—for governor. He portrayed Adeola as a proven and seasoned leader, saying he has the capacity to take the state to higher levels of development.

The founder pointed to Adeola’s record of public service, particularly his time in the National Assembly, as evidence of his credentials as a grassroots politician focused on people-centred development.

“Senator Olamilekan Adeola has shown skill, resolve and dedication to improving the lives of the people. We believe he is ready to offer focused leadership for Ogun State in 2027,” he said.

The group also endorsed Governor Dapo Abiodun for the Ogun East senatorial seat, arguing that his experience as governor would be valuable in representing the district at the National Assembly once his current term ends.

Ibrahim said Abiodun’s administration has delivered progress in areas including infrastructure, education, economic development and social welfare.

“Prince Dapo Abiodun has demonstrated ability in governance and has stayed committed to advancing Ogun State. We are convinced that his experience and leadership will benefit Ogun East in the Senate,” he said, adding that maintaining progressive leadership would be crucial for the state’s future.

In a further appeal, Ibrahim asked party members, political stakeholders and the wider electorate to unite and support the three leaders as well as other APC candidates, insisting that their victory in 2027 would ensure continued stability and bring further democratic dividends to the people.

He also said Zee 1 for Yayi would keep working to build support throughout Ogun State in order to achieve what he called a shared political vision for both Ogun and Nigeria as a whole.
