Quick facts

  • Event: Asiwaju Oladapo Odumosu Foundation meeting at Itoro Secretariat in Ijebu Ode
  • Location: Ijebu Ode
  • Constituency coverage: Ijebu Central Federal Constituency, made up of three local government areas
  • Party focus: APC support and endorsement of its candidates
  • Key election targets cited: Senator Adeola’s governorship bid in Ogun State, President Tinubu’s re-election, and APC wins in 2027
  • Noted themes: voter mobilization, party unity, and sustained grassroots engagement

Supporters and foundation members from the three local government areas forming the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency began arriving at the venue as early as 7:00 a.m. By the time the programme gained momentum, the local government playground had filled with party faithful, who used the occasion to renew their commitment to the APC and to endorse its candidates for the elections ahead.

In his address, Odumosu urged members throughout the constituency to stay firm in their loyalty to the party while stepping up efforts at grassroots outreach. He framed the push as both a test of discipline within the APC and a campaign requirement for winning support at community level.

Odumosu also set out specific campaign goals. He called on members to work relentlessly for the success of Senator Adeola’s governorship ambition in Ogun State, the re-election of President Tinubu, and the eventual victory of all APC candidates in the 2027 elections.

He argued that the party’s performance would depend heavily on how effectively voters were reached, on the ability of members to remain united, and on maintaining active engagement in communities rather than limiting activities to election periods.

Local APC leadership weighs in

Dare Alebiosu, Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area, used the platform to praise Odumosu’s record of commitment to the APC’s expansion within the constituency. He described the foundation leader as a grassroots figure with strong ties to residents and notable influence across the region.

Alebiosu said the turnout itself signalled the strength and readiness of the APC in the Ijebu Central Federal Constituency ahead of 2027. He pointed to the gathering as evidence of organisation and enthusiasm among party supporters.

The rally ended with foundation members reiterating their backing for the party. They also pledged to contribute to delivering wins for Senator Adeola, President Tinubu, and other APC candidates in the coming electoral contests.

  • Ayo Ogunfowora, Liaison Officer to Governor Dapo Abiodun representing Ijebu North East Local Government
  • Alhaji Saromi, Member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC)
