The Director General of the EOS Campaign, Alhaji Sabur Adebayo, said on Friday that Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola has no intention of withdrawing from the race, despite claims circulating about his status as an aspirant.
Adebayo said Soyoola remains a legitimate contender and is fully committed to taking part in the All Progressives Congress primary for the Ogun Central Senatorial District.
He stated that campaign structures supporting Soyoola are functioning across all six local government areas, adding that the team is ready for a primary election conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner.
According to Adebayo, Soyoola’s mandate is drawn from the people of Ogun Central, who, he said, have called for capable leadership anchored in youth participation. He said the campaign welcomes the primary election and urged the party’s leadership to maintain a level playing field for all aspirants.
Adebayo emphasized that the decision on who will represent the party should be made by duly accredited delegates, in keeping with the APC constitution and democratic norms.
He also described Soyoola’s campaign as centered on purposeful representation, economic empowerment, quality lawmaking, and inclusive development for Ogun Central. He said the campaign would not be swayed by external pressure, behind-the-scenes arrangements, or misinformation.
“We call on party members, stakeholders, and the media to ignore any reports suggesting withdrawal,” Adebayo said, adding that the campaign remains active, focused, and open to public engagement.
