A political support group made its intentions clear at a meeting of its members in Abeokuta on Wednesday, reaffirming plans to mobilise backing for Senator Olamilekan Adeola across all 20 local government areas in Ogun State. Participants described the senator as a proven leader, pointing to his track record in public office as a factor that has earned him strong goodwill among residents.
Alhaji Azeez Ayomikun Ibrahim, the group’s founder and also chairman of Zee 1 Triple T Company, said the decision to create a dedicated platform for support was driven by the need to encourage credible leadership able to promote sustainable development throughout Ogun State.
Ibrahim argued that Senator Adeola has repeatedly shown concern for the welfare of the people through what he described as effective representation, major infrastructure initiatives and empowerment programmes. He said these attributes set the senator apart as the right choice to lead Ogun State in 2027.
“We firmly believe that Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi brings the experience, capability and empathy needed to move Ogun State toward its goal. His accomplishments in public service are already clear, and we are confident he will deliver the same level of performance if elected as governor,” Ibrahim said.
He added that the group intends to intensify grassroots outreach, carry out consultations and run voter education efforts designed to grow broad-based support for the senator’s governorship ambition across all senatorial districts in the state.
“Our purpose is to bring people together around a shared vision for a better Ogun State. We are not simply setting up a political group—we are building a movement that will work with communities, youths, women and other key stakeholders in the search for effective and purposeful leadership,” Ibrahim said.
Ibrahim also urged Ogun residents, regardless of political leanings, to back leaders who can demonstrate a record of achievement. He stressed that improving the state should be treated as a collective duty that goes beyond party interests.
Looking ahead, he said he was optimistic that the senator’s rising acceptance among the public would eventually convert into strong support once the governorship contest officially begins. He further indicated that the group would continue to widen its membership across Ogun State.
