As Hermanus’ third feature film, ‘The Endless River’ revolves around the struggles of a French expatriate whose family is brutally attacked and killed on their farm in the Overberg region of the Western Cape.
According to Channel24, Hermanus met 33-year-old Duvauchelle on a visit to Paris earlier this year, and they “immediately hit it off”.
“I am really excited to be working with Nicolas on this film,” he said, according to the website.
“He is the kind of actor that really excites me as a filmmaker. I think he is going to bring something unforgettable to this story.”
