Leaders and members of the Arewa community from across Ogun State gathered in Abeokuta on Wednesday for the inauguration of a new political mobilisation structure, during which executive committees were also formed in all 20 local government areas.
Hadi Sani, the Ogun governor’s senior special assistant on inter-ethnic affairs, was formally appointed state coordinator of the organisation, which operates as “Arewa 4 YAYI.”
After the ceremony, Sani thanked members for entrusting him with the role and promised to cooperate with the other executives throughout the state to deliver on the group’s responsibilities.
He said the initiative was designed to reinforce grassroots mobilisation and help the All Progressives Congress secure decisive victories across Ogun State.
Sani added that the campaign network would reach residents through broad consultations and direct engagement with communities, with the aim of increasing backing for the party and its candidates.
He said the group had been tasked with building strong support for President Bola Tinubu, Senator Olamilekan Adeola, Governor Dapo Abiodun and every APC candidate in the state through a sustained door-to-door campaign.
“We are prepared to carry out this assignment,” Sani said. “Our teams will visit communities, explain the policies and achievements of our leaders, and engage voters directly. The objective is victory for all APC candidates.”
