
APC leaders in Ajebo Ward, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, have begun a renewed mobilisation drive ahead of the 2027 general elections, calling for unity, stronger grassroots organisation and coordinated support for the party’s candidates.
APC leaders rally support ahead of 2027 elections
- Rt. Hon. Egbetokun made the appeal at a meeting with ward leaders, party executives and other supporters at the APC secretariat in Ajebo Ward. He asked members to resolve differences, reinforce the party’s grassroots network and work together to secure victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
- Speaking with the ward’s youth leaders, Egbetokun urged them to improve the mobilisation of their members. He said every section of the party needed to step up its activities and sharpen its political plans in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
- He said he remained confident of continued backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and the APC governorship candidate, Sen. Solomon Adeola-Yayi. He also called on party members to work for the success of the APC and its other candidates in 2027.
- Egbetokun expressed confidence that the ruling party was prepared to win at every level, including the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly contests.
- During the meeting, he welcomed members who had left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to join the APC and the progressive camp.
- He assured the new members that they would receive equal treatment, a fair share of political responsibilities and harmonisation within the party.
- The Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, also addressed the gathering. He urged APC supporters to remain united, dedicated and focused on building on the party’s achievements through effective grassroots mobilisation, communication with constituents and continued engagement with party members.
- Ogunsola said unity, discipline, loyalty and organised mobilisation would be essential to the APC’s electoral performance. He asked members to continue working collectively to strengthen the party’s political structure in Ajebo Ward and throughout Obafemi Owode Local Government.
- He praised the stakeholders for bringing together the various strong political groups in Ajebo Ward, describing their combined commitment as a solid platform for future electoral gains.
- The council chairman also reaffirmed his commitment to protecting the interests of residents by ensuring an even spread of projects across the wards, as well as the distribution of materials to party supporters.
- Former chairman Hon. Mustapha Fatai Eruobodo similarly called for continued backing and mobilisation for APC candidates at every level. He specifically mentioned the senatorial, House of Representatives and Ogun State House of Assembly elections as the party stepped up preparations for a decisive victory in 2027.
- The meeting concluded with party leaders, youth leaders and other APC members in Ajebo Ward pledging to preserve their unity and intensify mobilisation before the 2027 general elections.
