Fakorede Backs Tella’s 2027 Ogun Assembly Re-Election With 1,000 Notebooks

Hon. Fakorede has pledged 1,000 “big notes” to support the re-election effort of Hon. Babatunde Tella, presenting the contribution as part of a campaign to preserve continuity in representation for Abeokuta North State Constituency in the Ogun State House of Assembly.

Backing for Tella’s Assembly return

Tella is the Deputy Chief Whip in the Ogun State House of Assembly and represents Abeokuta North State Constituency. He has received praise for his work in the legislature as well as development programmes in the community.

During the presentation, Fakorede said his support was driven by a wish to maintain what he described as effective representation in the legislature of Ogun State, widely known as the Gateway State.

  • Fakorede said Tella had demonstrated that he is “a true servant of the people.”
  • He pointed to Tella’s performance, accessibility and active representation in the state assembly.
  • He described the 1,000 “big notes” as an initial contribution to a wider political effort.
  • He said supporters would commit fully to securing Tella’s return to the Assembly so he could build on his previous achievements.

Tella thanks former councillor

Responding to the donation, Tella thanked former councillor Hon. Fakorede for providing 1,000 exercise books in support of his bid for another term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said the contribution reflected Fakorede’s confidence in his record as a representative and his commitment to Tella’s ambition to return to the Ogun State House of Assembly for a second term.

“I sincerely appreciate Hon. Fakorede for this thoughtful gesture and his show of support for my re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections,” Tella said. “His confidence in our representation is highly appreciated, and I am grateful for this demonstration of solidarity.”
