Isaga Orile APC Leaders Back Tinubu, Yayi and Tella at Rally

Support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi and Prince Babatunde Opeolu Tella was reaffirmed at a party rally in Isaga Orile on Friday, with speakers pointing to community projects and grassroots representation as reasons for their position.

Key takeaways

  • APC Ward 15 leaders cited work on roads, water, electricity, the town hall and market facilities in Isaga Orile.
  • Party members said Tella understands local concerns and has earned renewed backing in the community.
  • Speakers urged unity among party members, young people, women and community leaders.
  • Residents called for tractors and modern equipment to help local farmers increase production.
  • Political leaders were asked to include women, particularly widows, in empowerment and government-support programmes.

Comrade Ojekunle Quadri, vice-chairman of APC Ward 15 and the party’s spokesperson in Isaga Orile, said voters were increasingly assessing political leaders by the practical effects of their work rather than by campaign pledges.

He said residents had seen projects and other interventions involving roads, water supply, electricity, the town hall and market infrastructure. In his view, those efforts had increased public confidence in what he called progressive leadership.

Quadri said the community was not persuaded by promises alone and wanted evidence of action. He argued that the visible attention given to everyday needs explained why support for the APC remained strong in Isaga Orile.

He singled out Senator Adeola for interventions he said could improve living standards and encourage development at the grassroots. Quadri said Yayi’s record showed that elected representatives could deliver tangible benefits when they stayed attentive to the concerns of their constituents.

He described representation as more than participation in official discussions, saying it should bring development directly to communities. According to Quadri, improvements to roads, power, water and public amenities were felt most directly by ordinary residents.

Addressing the position of Prince Babatunde Opeolu Tella, Quadri said APC members in Isaga Orile had gained fresh trust in his leadership and his capacity to defend the interests of the people.

He said Tella had renewed residents’ optimism about the future because he understood grassroots realities, listened to local people and recognised the difficulties confronting their communities. Quadri added that the party believed Tella could make an important contribution to the area’s desired development.

Quadri said the APC’s stance was not motivated by animosity towards rival parties. Rather, he said, it reflected a belief that the party’s policies and leadership offered the path Isaga Orile wanted to follow.

He acknowledged every citizen’s democratic right to choose a preferred party, but said APC members in the community had made their decision. He listed their support for President Tinubu, Yayi, Tella and the APC.

Calls for unity and further assistance

The Ward 15 vice-chairman appealed for cooperation among APC members, youths, women and community leaders, asking them to put Isaga Orile’s shared progress ahead of individual disagreements.

He said political differences should not become a source of division because residents shared common goals: better roads, dependable water, improved electricity, working markets, effective public facilities and opportunities for young people.

Quadri also encouraged residents to remain involved in democracy through peaceful participation and to support initiatives aimed at strengthening the community’s economic and social wellbeing.

He said the group would continue backing leaders it considered committed to the people, speaking up for the community and promoting peaceful politics. Isaga Orile, he added, was prepared for progress, development and continuity, with the APC serving as the platform for that course.

Fowotade Azeez, an executive council member from Ward 15, Isaga Ilewo, also praised Prince Tella’s work and said the ward remained firmly committed to him.

Azeez said residents appreciated Tella’s efforts and were supporting him again. He also declared backing for President Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, Prince Babatunde Tella and the other APC candidates.

Comrade Akanni Akeem, secretary of the APC in Isaga community, likewise commended Tella for what he called substantial projects across the area. He referred specifically to borehole water, electricity and road-related interventions, saying residents were again standing behind Tella as well as Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi.

Khadijat Ojetola, assistant woman leader for Isaga Orile Farm Estate, expressed gratitude to Senator Yayi, Prince Tella and Hon. Erubami for their assistance to the community.

She said the three leaders responded whenever residents approached them, describing that responsiveness as evidence that they remained accessible to the people.

Ojetola nevertheless asked for additional help for farmers, including tractors and modern agricultural machinery, to raise productivity. She said local residents were willing to work and produce but needed equipment that would make farming less difficult and more efficient.

She further urged political leaders to ensure that women, especially widows, benefited from empowerment schemes and other government interventions. Women, she said, played a major role in community development and should not be excluded.
