
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has endorsed Dr. Odusina as its governorship candidate for Ogun State in the 2027 general elections, with all 20 local government area chairmen backing her nomination.
Party leaders rally behind Odusina
NDC State Chairman Hon. Femi Alao announced the decision at a meeting at the party secretariat on Wednesday. Dr. Odusina was warmly welcomed and received unanimous support from the chairmen, who marked the endorsement with a standing ovation.
Party officials, members, supporters and the chairmen of all 20 local government areas attended the gathering. They said they trusted her ability to strengthen the party and lead it to greater success.
Alao said the party had selected the candidate because she was well suited to represent the NDC in the governorship contest. He presented her as a leader with the ability, experience and ethical standing required for the role.

Candidate sets out campaign message
Odusina thanked the NDC for its confidence and for accepting her as the party’s governorship flag bearer.
She argued that the NDC was the only political platform capable of freeing Nigerians from insecurity and economic hardship, and called on citizens to support the party’s effort to win the 2027 election.
The candidate said her ambition was to establish a development-oriented administration in Ogun State and reduce the impact of the economic crisis on residents.
Tour of senatorial districts completed
Odusina has reportedly visited each of Ogun State’s three senatorial districts. Her nomination also makes her the first woman in Ogun to secure the governorship position from a major political party, according to the account.
