Ogun Supporters Roll Out Branded Vehicles, Merchandise for Yayi’s 2027 Bid

Campaign supporters in Ogun State have unveiled a package of promotional items for Senator Olamilekan Yayi Adeola’s bid for the governorship in 2027, including a set of branded vehicles and consumer-style merchandise, as part of a wider push to boost the senator’s visibility across the state’s three senatorial zones.

Key takeaways

  • Supporters rolled out more than four vehicles along with branded caps, T-shirts and other campaign items for the 2027 governorship race.
  • Oredipe presented the materials during a political event where he received Senator Adeola in Ogun State.
  • The plan is to spotlight Adeola’s message in Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West through grassroots deployment of the vehicles.
  • Oredipe said the effort is only an initial stage of his backing and promised further contributions from himself and associates.
  • He also declared that he is stepping back from his own governorship ambition to fully support Adeola.

Vehicles and merchandise to widen campaign reach

The materials, described as including over four vehicles, branded T-shirts, caps and additional promotional goods, were unveiled as part of efforts to raise awareness for Adeola’s 2027 governorship campaign across Ogun State’s three senatorial districts: Ogun Central, Ogun East and Ogun West.

Oredipe, who made the presentation while receiving Senator Adeola at a political gathering in the state, said the initiative is intended to carry the senator’s campaign message into communities across all three zones.

He added that the vehicles would be used for grassroots mobilisation and for public visibility, characterising the launch as the first phase of his support for the APC leader’s governorship aspiration.

“In our modest way, we are donating more than four vehicles. In addition to the ones we have already branded, there are several others that have not yet been branded. Beyond my own contribution, many of my associates are also prepared to add more,” he said.

He argued that the vehicles would help increase recognition of Adeola’s ambition as the campaign moves around the state.

“Through these vehicles, we want to increase his visibility across the state. As you travel through Ogun East, Ogun West and Ogun Central, you will see ‘Auto for Yayi’ everywhere. This is only the first phase. We will continue until we deliver Yayi as our governor,” Oredipe said.

Oredipe further disclosed plans to produce and distribute additional campaign materials, including more branded T-shirts and caps, saying the intention is to reach every part of Ogun State with the message.

“We will also produce branded T-shirts, branded caps and other campaign materials, as you can already see around you. We will do everything possible to take this message to every corner of Ogun State so that it translates into votes and, by the grace of God, brings Yayi to office on May 29, 2027,” he said.

Declares backing and says he is stepping aside

Beyond providing campaign items, Oredipe formally announced his support for Adeola, saying he had chosen to withdraw from his own governorship ambition in order to back the senator.

“This is part of a process. As you are aware, our son, our family man—the man everyone is looking forward to becoming the next governor of Ogun State, Senator Olamilekan Yayi—is here today. We are using this opportunity to receive him, show our support for his mission and agenda, and declare that we are fully behind him,” Oredipe said.

He said his decision was driven by conviction, adding that political backing should be expressed through tangible action rather than promises alone.

“If you believe in a mission, you must invest in it. We are saying that we believe in what he is doing, and our support cannot be limited to words alone. We have to demonstrate it through action. In our own humble way, we are contributing to advance his cause and support his mission to govern our dear state. We believe in him, and by the grace of God, he will be sworn in on May 29, 2027,” he said.

Oredipe also voiced confidence in Adeola’s prospects for the 2027 election, saying his campaign support would continue until the senator’s ambition is realised.

“We believe in him, and by the grace of God, he will be sworn in on May 29, 2027,” he added.
