A rally attended by various sections of transport unions, political supporters and other stakeholders featured expressions of backing for Senator Adeola’s bid to become governor of Ogun State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ambassador Ibrahim, founder of Zee 1 for Yayi, was present at the gathering and reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to reaching communities and building grassroots support for the senator’s political ambition. His attendance also demonstrated the group’s willingness to work alongside other support organisations and stakeholders pursuing the same goal.
Explaining the organisation’s position, Ibrahim said Adeola had shown a strong interest in development through his years in public office and various interventions. He identified the senator’s record of service as a central reason for Zee 1 for Yayi’s support for his governorship campaign.
Ibrahim added that the group’s backing reflected its confidence in Senator Yayi’s ability to lead, as well as its belief that Ogun State required continued development. He said Zee 1 for Yayi would keep meeting residents and communities to present the senator’s plans and promote wider involvement in democratic activities.
The organisation also emphasised the role of transport union members in political outreach at the local level, describing their involvement as important to mobilising communities. It said it was prepared to sustain engagement with organised groups and community leaders throughout the state.
As the 2027 elections approach, the founder restated his support for peaceful political participation, civic education and grassroots mobilisation. He said he would continue cooperating with groups and individuals who shared the same objectives, while calling on eligible residents to take an active part in the electoral process and vote for every APC candidate.
