Lawmaker Osoba said the large turnout of supporters in Abeokuta North showed that residents still trusted President Bola Tinubu’s administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC), along with its candidates for the 2027 elections.
Economic policy and 2027 support
Osoba said the Tinubu government had spent the past three and a half years taking measures intended to restore stability to Nigeria’s economy. He added that the next stage would be to make sure the effects of those policies were felt more directly by ordinary citizens.
He thanked the people of Abeokuta North for backing the APC and its candidates in the 2023 elections, and said he expected them to offer the party similar support in 2027.
“I want to begin by thanking them for giving us the opportunity to serve in 2023,” he said. “Judging by the size of this gathering, we are confident they will do so once more and return all five of us contesting elections in 2027.”
Osoba, who is seeking another term, pledged to continue providing democratic dividends to his constituents and to represent them effectively in the National Assembly.
He also promised that Abeokuta North’s concerns and priorities would remain strongly represented in the Green Chamber. He appealed to residents to continue supporting him and the APC as the 2027 elections approach.
