Senatorial candidate Salisu met with APC stakeholders from all 15 wards in Abeokuta South and later led a walk from Panseke to the city’s Computer Village.
He made the appeal during a gathering at the Panseke Skating Ground, where APC leaders, elected officials, political appointees, ward executives and other party stakeholders welcomed him.
Speaking to the attendees, Salisu called for greater unity within the party and urged its leaders to put aside differences and cooperate in building a stronger APC across the local government area.
He asked APC members to support every party candidate in the upcoming polls, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, who is the APC’s Ogun governorship candidate, and Salisu himself, who is contesting the Ogun Central Senatorial District seat.
He further requested backing for Hon. Ademuyiwa Adeyemi, the party’s candidate for Abeokuta South Constituency II; Hon. Lukmon Atobatele, its candidate for Abeokuta South Constituency I; and Hon. Afolabi Afuape, the APC candidate for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.
Salisu said cooperation and solidarity among party members at the grassroots would be central to the APC’s mobilisation campaign before the elections.
The meeting enabled him to engage directly with representatives from the 15 wards, hear their concerns and strengthen links between the party leadership and its grassroots network.
Nearly all prominent APC leaders and stakeholders in Abeokuta South Local Government attended, demonstrating wide involvement by the area’s political organisation.
Salisu Continues Campaign at Computer Village
Following the stakeholder meeting, Salisu extended his grassroots outreach by walking from the Panseke Skating Ground to Abeokuta Computer Village.
Along the route, he spoke with traders, residents and other members of the public about the approaching elections and encouraged them to take part in the voting process.
He also sought support for APC contenders across the different elective offices, asking residents to vote for the party’s candidates in the elections scheduled for January 16, 2027.
The Abeokuta South visit forms part of Salisu’s continuing consultations with APC leaders, members and stakeholders throughout Ogun Central ahead of the 2027 elections.
