Ibrahim said Yayi’s career had been marked by sustained contact with citizens and efforts focused on improving residents’ welfare. He argued that public leadership should be judged by its effect on ordinary people, rather than by office held alone.
He said Ogun voters needed a governor who understood their hopes and was willing to hear their grievances. In his view, Yayi had shown that he could identify the difficulties confronting different communities and offer representation centred on development and empowerment.
“Yayi knows the people and the communities,” Ibrahim said. “He pays attention to their concerns and understands what they want from government. That is why we are convinced he can give Ogun State effective and purposeful leadership.”
Ibrahim urged the senator’s backers to expand their grassroots work before the election. He asked them to take Yayi’s message and policy vision to communities, wards, Community Development Associations and Community Development Committees throughout the state.
He also appealed to supporters to remain united. The movement, he said, would continue to encourage calm, issue-focused political participation and ask voters to assess contenders through their records, experience and proposed programmes.
Ibrahim said he was confident about Yayi’s political prospects. Zee 1 for Yayi, he added, would keep organising support and informing the public about the senator’s plan for a more prosperous and inclusive Ogun State.
“The 2027 contest concerns Ogun State’s future,” he said. “We will keep meeting residents, hearing their views and explaining why Senator Yayi merits their backing. Our mobilisation will be rooted in the grassroots, peaceful and directed towards development.”
