The founder of Zee 1 for Yayi has called on supporters in Ogun State to begin a house-to-house campaign for Senator Olamilekan Yayi, saying the effort must extend beyond formal political structures and reach residents directly.
Addressing supporters in Abeokuta on Friday, the founder said mobilisation should begin immediately, with the movement taken from Community Development Councils and Community Development Associations to individual households and local residents.
The founder said each supporter now had to accept personal responsibility for expanding the campaign and building backing for Yayi.
Members of Zee 1 for Yayi were asked to work in their own communities, meet CDC and CDA leaders, visit families and discuss Yayi’s plans and vision for Ogun State with residents.
The founder said the campaign’s real strength would be measured at the grassroots, where residents experience and understand the problems affecting their communities.
Supporters were also told not to wait for large rallies before taking action. The founder said every individual could contribute to the effort to increase support for Yayi.
Members were encouraged to speak with friends, neighbours, young people, women, traders and community leaders, explaining why they consider Senator Adeola the suitable candidate to govern Ogun State.
The group said it would maintain and expand its grassroots campaign throughout the state, while urging supporters to stay united, dedicated and actively involved.
The founder said the movement’s immediate task was to meet residents, develop support from one household to the next and carry Yayi’s message to homes across Ogun State.
