Podcast And Chill Boss MacG Mukwevho and his YouTuber wife Naledi Monamodi have made sure that they keep their pregnancy far away from the public eye.
The pair recently welcomed their baby number 2. Naledi took everyone by surprise recently when she took to Instagram to share a video giving her followers a sneak peek inside her pregnancy journey all the way to delivery.
The YouTuber did not say much, she only captioned the video with a simple "Thank you God," followed by love emojis.
Taking to the comments section to congratulate Naledi, Skeem Saam actress Neo Ramitshana wrote, "A very be BIIIIIIIIIG congratulations ma’am! 😍🥰 Wow nice surprise!
Otshepeng Kekana also responded, "Congratulations 😍😍❤️ now it makes sense why you’ve been so quiet."
MacG and Naledi have taken the YouTube space by storm. Naledi was also on Podcast and Chill. She was the ghost lady of the show from its inception until she started her own channel called Toast With Naledi.
Podcast And Chill on the other hand also now known as the number one podcast in Africa has grown massively over the years since its launch in 2018. The channel currently has over half a million subscribers.
Last year MacG scored a deal with Channel O. It was announced that the Podcast was moving to the channel.
"No topic is off-limits, from the deeply personal (battling illness, life in prison, childhood traumas), to fame, politics, and navigating media scandals. The conversations are so honest and raw that the viewer sometimes feels as though they are eavesdropping on private chats between close friends, a sign of interviewing done right," read the press release from Channel O.
MacG has also scored several sponsors along the way and also lost some due to the controversy that is always surrounding his channel.
He had previously been sponsored by big companies including Amstel, Old Mutual, Supa Bets, and Studio 88.
Dumping MacG, Studio 88 Brand’s group marketing manager, Loren Lennox revealed that the company was distancing itself from the channel following the homophobic comments that were made on one of the episodes.
The statement read: “The Studio 88 Group stands firmly against the harmful and offensive comments and statements made by MacG during one of his recent Podcast and Chill with MacG episodes as same goes against our core values and beliefs as a company group in SA.
"In light of the above, the Studio 88 Group wishes to distance ourselves completely from the aforementioned statements, podcast, and its host/s. We have therefore taken the decision to terminate, with immediate effect, any business/sponsorship relationship we may have with MacG.”
