It is with a heavy heart that Maps Maponyane lost his grandmother, and yesterday he grieved her in a heartfelt message.
Maps posted a touching video of him holding his beloved grandmothers hand, and in the caption, he wrote:
Time spent with you made me fall in love with the comma, and appreciate the ellipses. How my heart aches now that the full stop is the only thing between us.
Maps’ fans and followers have reached out and extended their condolences. With a long list of fellow ZAlebs like, Boity, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Basetsana Khumalo and Moozlie all coming through in comment section sharing their heartfelt messages.
After achieving so much in 2020 (already), with the success of his restaurant Buns Out, meeting and playing a friendly match with tennis superstar Roger Federer in Cape Town and becoming one of the ambassadors of the new Samsung Galaxy Flip phone alongside Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi and Bonang – we can’t imagine how this news of his grandmother passing must have hit him.
