Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi has turned into a puppet arguably used by numerous local podcasts to drive traffic to their channels. This has to do with the fact that the former music executive turned controversial social media personality has off-the-wall comments and remarks about almost everything.

Arguably his erratic and sometimes concerning behaviour started after the breakdown in his relationship with local Hip-Hop legend Kwesta. This is as after the two entities ended their business relationship Nota went on to gain notoriety for his attacks against his estranged wife Berita, social media influencer Mihlali Ndamase, JMPD officers, and anyone he believed would guarantee he would trend if he attacked.
Therefore, it came as no surprise that following his alleged brief stay at a psychiatric ward that Nota started to hit the local YouTube podcast trail. The latest of which is the guest on Kwaito legend Arthur Mafokate’s new podcast Set The Record Straight where he dragged Kwesta for filth.
Nota labels Kwesta as ungrateful
Set The Record Straight (STRS) is the YouTube-based podcast created by Arthur Mafokate. The first episode saw Mafokate as the first guest on the show when he attempted to clarify why he was suspected to have been in the R56.3 million NLC corruption scandal.
As reported at the time:
Following the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) damning accusations that suggested that Arthur Mafokate was allegedly involved in a multi-million NLC scandal. The former singer and music producer has finally responded to the claims.

Social media is abuzz after Arthur Mafokate took to the stage to set the record straight on the accusations leveled against him. Already the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has seized a number of assets from the musician including a mansion home to name a few.
In the interview, Arthur Mafokate is blatantly rubbishing all the accusations that he unlawfully benefited from the R56.3 million funds from the National Lottery Commission (NLC).
In the second episode of the podcast he invited Nota as his guest. While the interview was an in-depth look at Nota’s life and career, where he was also allowed to speak on his mental health issues. The interview spent time speaking about the end of his working and personal relationship with Kwesta.
Nota suggested that Kwesta was ungrateful and that the success that he has had was due to his hardwork. Additionally, he seemed to suggest that his recent erratic and concerning antics were due to the end of his working relationship with Kwesta as he was then allowed to do and say anything without affecting “his” artist’s reputation…
It seems that Nota is still hurt that Kwesta continues to blue tick him everytime he says something negative about him. Like in the past when suggested that Kwesta ruined Kabza stellar hitmaking record by tweeting at the time that:
Not sure what’s worse… Black Coffee ruining Drakes reputation or Kwesta ruining Kabza catalogue? If it wasn’t for Focalistic’s album this would’ve been a tragic year for South African artists where only their features are worth streaming. The DJ compilations are not real albums!
