The weekly Head of House Challenge continues to serve curve balls that have the housemates anxious and excited for what is to come. This week’s game of luck saw Tulz returning as Head of House after his nomination was vetoed by former Head of House, Sis Tamara.
This act saved him from last Sunday’s live eviction which saw three housemates leave Biggie’s house and lose their chances of claiming the coveted R2-million prize.
This act saved him from last Sunday’s live eviction which saw three housemates leave Biggie’s house and lose their chances of claiming the coveted R2-million prize.
The housemates were greeted by an arena filled with balls of various sizes and colours and a table with bags. This luck-based game was simple to follow: the outgoing Head of House, Sis Tamara, led the blindfolded housemates one-by-one through a winding path to the ball pit whereby the players blindly selected five balls that had a numerical number ranging from zero to 19. After their selection, the housemates were led to a bowl where they deposited their five balls and the total of the numbers on the five balls was the score the housemate would get. Simple!
Venus opened the game strong acquiring a score of 54 and giving the housemates hope of a successful run. Their hopes were quickly dashed as more players selected balls with low values or even zeros. Tulz took his turn and scored a high 54 points which resulted in a tie-breaker round to determine who the true Head of House would be.
The tie breaker had Tulz and Venuss selecting one of three possible silver domes that concealed a ball with a number on it. All the stars aligned for Tulz this week, making him the second Housemate to be awarded Head of House twice this season. Tulz gave the Deputy Head of House title to Libo who excitedly accepted it.
All Housemates were given opportunity to nominate two people for possible eviction this week. Tulz and Libo gained immunity as Head of House and his deputy, whereas housemates had not nominated Thato and Venuss for eviction. Nale was the top-voted nominee with housemates claiming she is having “too much fun” and is “too relaxed” in the competition. Mpho and Ntabii were close behind with housemates sharing their concerns pertaining to their alliance.
Sis Tamara joins the ranks in their first eviction nomination. Viewers waited with bated breath for Tulz to veto Sis Tamara’s nomination, returning the favor they had given him last week. The Head of House opted to save Terry instead, and nominated Thato, making the final list of possible evictees Gash1, Mpho, Nale, Ntabii, Sis Tamara, and Thato.
Viewers have taken to social media to show support to Sis Tamara and they are working hard to save her.
