One thing you should know by now is that there’s never a dull moment on The River.

We reckon that’s exactly why thousands of fans tune into the show every evening. We all love a bit of drama, right? Let’s take you through what happened on the show (so far).

Cobra, watch the friends you keep!

Never in our wildest dreams did we ever think that Cobra would go back to a life of crime. Okay, maybe we’re lying here. This is Cobra, after all. We’ll have to give him credit for staying away from trouble for as long as he did.

This week, we saw the former convict being lured back to his old ways. Two of his friends, Percy and Oupa, who escaped from prison, asked him to help them with a heist. Although he made it clear that he didn’t want to participate in the crime, his friends were so persuasive that he was left with no choice but to join them.

This is sad because there are so many people rooting for him, including his family, friends and us, of course. We honestly don’t know how much more of this his mother can take. Let’s hope no one gets caught this time.

Will Nomonde and Veronica work together?

If there’s one thing we’re glad about, it’s the fact that Nomonde is the one who discovered that Veronica’s “disability” is all an act. We can’t imagine what would have happened if Lindiwe was the one who made this shocking discovery. So, here’s how it all happened…

You know that Veronica has moved in with the Dikanas. Somehow, she’s managed to convince everyone that she’s sick and that she can’t even do anything for herself and the wheelchair makes this story believable. Of course, Lindiwe has her suspicions but she hasn’t been able to prove that Zolani’s mother is putting up an act.

While Lindiwe is trying to get to the bottom of Veronica’s illness, Veronica is snooping around trying to find something to use against Mrs Dikana. While looking through some files in Lindiwe’s office, Veronica was busted by Nomonde and she wasn’t even in her wheelchair. So now we’re wondering if these two will work together, seeing that they have a common enemy? Two brains are better than one, right?

We have a feeling that there’s so much more action coming our way on The River. Need to catch up on the show? Tune into Showmax to watch the 1Magic telenovela. New episodes of the show 15 minutes after the DStv broadcast.
